Archived: TfL Journey Planner Updates – March 11

Welcome to the latest installment from the Journey Planner team, with this week’s summary of our data updates. These include all forthcoming bus service 1and stop changes for timetables which are available on Journey Planner, as well as in the Journey Planner API.

As ever, if there are any points of interest you’d like to see added to Journey Planner, just let us know. You’ll find the email address at the bottom of this post.

This is a brief summary of this week’s new data highlights:

Timetables

From Saturday 19 March, there will be a large increase in bus frequency on Route EL1, and Route EL2 will be revised to operate between Dagenham Dock and Becontree Heath, instead of to/from Ilford – timetables are now available for these changes.

Timetables are not normally supplied by operators for one day events, however, as time allows, we add customised schedules which reflect diversion routes and stops served. This has been done for the North London Half Marathon on Sunday 20 March due to the substantial impact on residential areas. As these timetables do not last the whole day, and interact with our content management system, they are only available within Journey Planner on our website and through the API

Closure of Victoria Dock Road means that Routes 147 and 241 are diverted to Prince Regent between Thursday 24 and Monday 28 March, with temporary route 541 introduced. Timetable data is available across all outputs.

Stops

There are a small number of name changes, and a substantial number of new boarding points are being added for the Hail & Ride sections of Route R2 pending a timetable change next month.

Points of Interest

We are pleased to have added further housing developments in London onto Journey Planner. These will continue to be added as soon as developments start to be constructed, enabling users to plan visits to show houses, and to assess the feasibility for commutes and other journeys.

In addition, the London locations where Tag Rugby is played have now all been added.
