The latest AWS User Group UK event takes place this week, on Wed 25th May from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The first session will be presented by expert speakers from TfL, with a discussion of our open data journey.

Following last month’s traffic data hack day hosted by AWS, we’ll be presenting our open data journey at the AWS user group event this week

The venue is Skills Matter at CodeNode, 10 South Place, EC2M 7EB, London (view on Google Maps) and this is a summary of the 30 minute session:

Transport for London’s Open Data Journey by Rikesh Shah, Lead Digital Relationship Manager, TfL and Tom Garratt, Technical Architect, TfL

Rikesh and Tom will provide an overview of Transport for London’s open data journey, which has resulted in the creation of nearly 500 travel apps powered by TfL data. They will also cover how moving to a cloud based infrastructure has resulted in a wide range of benefits including greater agility and being able to satisfy large volumes of real-time data.
