Archived: TfL Journey Planner Updates – August 5

Welcome to the latest installment from the Journey Planner team, with this week’s summary of our data updates. The Unified API is updated with new Journey Planner data up to five times a week – to receive notifications of when new data has been added, including a summary of what has changed, please email [email protected]

Night tube timetables are now available for the Central and Victoria line – as part of the transition to the new service, multiple timetables have been issued for the days running up to the launch on 19 August


TransXChange data is normally supplied to the London Datastore on Thursday mornings, and should reflect changes described in this post.

Monday 1 August

Route 65 follows a major diversion in both directions between Kingston and Richmond. Route 371 is temporarily withdrawn and replaced by special services 565 571 and 572

Friday 19 August

Route 123 158 296 E1 and W7 introduced on Friday and Saturday nights

Stops

A large number of changes this week, continuing the removal of redundant stops.

London Underground

Tower Hill now has step-free access between the street and all Circle and District line trains in both directions – this is reflected in Journey Planner.

NIGHT TUBE ARRIVES ON THE CENTRAL AND VICTORIA LINES ON FRIDAY 19 AUGUST

Central line trains will operate all night on Friday and Saturday nights between Ealing Broadway and Loughton / Hainault via Newbury Park and the Victoria line will operate throughout between Walthamstow Central and Brixton.

Night tube timetables are now available for the Central and Victoria line – as part of the transition to the new service, multiple timetables have been issued for the days running up to the introduction on Friday 19 August, these are available in TransXChange – please ensure all files are used to ensure correct timetables display.

The data is automatically available within Journey Planner and the Unified API.

A new base timetable is introduced on the Bakerloo line from Monday 8 August.

Engineering works timetables for trains and replacement buses are now in place for the next FOUR weekends

River

New Timetables for River Bus services RB1 RB2 RB4 RB5 and RB6 and new RB1X, from Monday 1 August, are available now.

Trams

Engineering works will be taking place from Friday 5 August (at 2000) until Monday 15 August as follows:

i) Friday 5 August (from 2000), Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 August, no service between Reeves Corner and Blackhorse Lane / New
Addington, replacement buses operate.
ii) Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 August, no service between Reeves Corner and Sandilands, replacement buses operate
iii) Wednesday 10 to Monday 15 August, no service between East Croydon and Sandilands, replacement buses operate
Confirmed tram timetables have been added, replacement bus timetables are awaited.

London Buses Service Changes and Special Bus Services

Already in place

65 RECAP: Until Sunday 4 September, buses are diverted in both directions between Richmond, George Street and Kingston Town Centre via Richmond Bridge, Twickenham, Cross Deep, Teddington, Hampton Wick and Kingston Bridge. 49-65
371 NEW: No service until Sunday 4 September, please see special Routes 565 571 and 572 below,.
565 SPECIAL SERVICE UNTIL SUNDAY 4 SEPTEMBER: Buses operate between Kingston, High Street and Ham, Sandy Lane via Eden Street, Richmond Road, Upper Ham Road and Petersham Road, and return via Sandy Lane, Ham Street, Ashburnham Road, Broughton Avenue, Dukes Avenue, Richmond Road, Cromwell Road Bus Station and Eden Street. This replaces Route 65 which is diverted in both directions between Kingston and Richmond. Buses operate every 10 minutes during the day on Monday to Saturday, and every 15 minutes each evening and on Sundays. An overnight service operates every 30 minutes. 49-565
571 SPECIAL SERVICE UNTIL SUNDAY 4 SEPTEMBER: Buses operate between Kingston, High Street and Ham, Sandy Lane via Route 371, serving Cromwell Road Bus Station (towards Ham only), London Road, Park Road, Tudor Drive, Dukes Avenue, Broughton Avenue, Ashburnham Road and Ham Street. Buses return via Sandy Lane, Petersham Road, Upper Ham Road, Tudor Drive, Park Road and London Road. Buses operate every 10 minutes during the day on Monday to Saturday, and every 15 minutes each evening and on Sundays. 49-571
572 SPECIAL SERVICE UNTIL SUNDAY 4 SEPTEMBER: Buses operate a circular route from Richmond, Manor Road Homebase via Manor Circus, Lower Mortlake Road, Richmond Station, The Quadrant, Sheen Road, Church Road, Kings Road, Marchmont Road, Queens Road, Star & Garter Hill, Petersham Road, Hill Street, George Street, Richmond Station, Lower Mortlake Road and Manor Circus. Buses operate every 10 minutes during the day on Monday to Saturday, and every 15 minutes each evening and on Sundays. This replaces the diverted Route 65 and temporarily withdrawn Route 371. 49-572

23 NEW: Buses will be revised to operate between Liverpool Street and Harrow Road, Prince of Wales via normal route between Liverpool Street and Paddington then via Harrow Road. 64-23

New Stops and Stations, and Stop Adjustments

Please note that, due to a transfer of uploading arrangements for Naptan, we have not added any new stops to Naptan this week. The uploading will resume next week, with a full list of added stops available as usual, and new content generally available through Naptan on Friday mornings.

NOTE: The issue with deleted stops has now been resolved.
